Netherlands internationals were active across Europe's top club competitions last week. From Eredivisie goals to Bundesliga assists, Oranje players made their mark in various leagues.

Guus Til set PSV on their way to a 2-0 win over Heerenveen in the Eredivisie. The midfielder played the full match and found the net. Later in the week he also started in PSV's 1-0 Champions League defeat to RB Leipzig, where Lutsharel Geertruida also featured.

In Germany, Joey Veerman provided an assist for Borussia Dortmund in their 2-2 draw with Werder Bremen. He was also booked. Against Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League he started but was substituted after an hour. Goalkeeper Mark Flekken played two full matches for Bayer Leverkusen in wins over Mainz and Lech Poznan.

Premier League Contributions

In England, Bart Verbruggen kept a clean sheet for Brighton in a 2-0 victory over Sunderland, where Robin Roefs played in defence. Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch featured for Liverpool in their 3-0 loss to Manchester City. Van Dijk was booked, Gravenberch was sent off. Both later played in the Champions League win over Lask Linz.

Nathan Aké played two full matches for Fenerbahçe, with a league win and a heavy European defeat. At Tottenham, Micky van de Ven and Jan Hecke played in the draw with Manchester United, with Hecke also receiving a yellow card.

European Impact from Meerdink

A notable contribution came from Mexx Meerdink at AZ. The forward came off the bench in the Europa League against Hapoel Beer Sheva and scored immediately, including a penalty. This secured a 2-1 win for AZ. Teun Koopmeiners featured in Juventus's Europa League victory over Celta Vigo.

These club performances come at a good time for the Netherlands national team, which is on a strong run. Oranje are unbeaten in their last four internationals, with two wins and two draws. The next assignment is a home match against Greece on 13 November, a key fixture in the build-up.
